The symptom first: clothes that take two cycles, a laundry room that runs hot, a burning smell, lint on the wall under the outside hood, or dust at the registers. Then where the vent exits, if you know: the roof, a side wall, or somewhere you have never found. The dryer type, gas or electric, and whether it is stacked in a closet.
